FICCI Bhashantara Event 2018 Sponsored By Devnagri

[:en]Bhashantra, an event addressing Indian Languages was organized by FICCI, Technology Development for Indian Languages (TDIL), Ministry of Electronics and IT, Govt. of India, and Indian Cellular Association (ICA) in New Delhi under the joint sponsorship of Google and Devnagri. The event took place on 30th July 2018 and it had a direct concern about the Indian language usage and its real-time translation for Indic Linguals.

Indian Languages On the Internet:
Developing world is running forward taking English as its primary mode for human interaction, in such time Indian society might lack with the language. With this consent, the event’s main focus was to increase the data in Indian constitutional languages over the internet. Devnagri itself is completely focused on Indianizing the internet data and thus we came forward to support it. Digital transformation in India can only happen with the localization of internet data, as per the founder members of Devnagri.

E-Akshayayan:
Moving a step ahead the IT ministry introduced E-Akshayayan, a software that can make editing of text printed on scanned documents happen. The software was made free for Indian language users, they can format the text & can keep it in a separate file as well. With such software development initiatives taken by the government, it is expected that in coming days Indian natal speakers could see better information and more data available in their language on the internet.

Kutumbh:
Not only does the announcement of E-Akshayayan took the center of the stage but also the stepping of the new Indian regional language translator community – KUTUMBH was launched this day by Devnagri. Kutumbh, it is a community for all the Indian language translators who can get better opportunities and can work professionally for full time while just being online. Devnagri being opportunity creator wants Indians to be skilled in dual or different languages and make it their source of income. This community will create a lot of job opportunities for skilled Indians from different technical backgrounds. As there are a lot of companies trying to establish their products in India, they would require language support to spread their message in the hearts of the Indian population, thus Kutumbh comes into play. The community will cater to different language support to translate their message. Using it as Devnagri’s pillar we have combined human and artificial intelligence.

Language Given Power:
It is through such events that our constitutional languages start getting a boost to mix up with technology. As the government initiated the website and information on public domains require to be present in 22 constitutional languages, it became essential for every department such as news, finance etc to serve the people with the lingual support on digital platforms. This process is time taking but as the coming years will see a high peak on increased Indian native speakers using the internet, the content would be able to suffice their need. They will be able to understand the technology in a better way and the adoption would be easy.

देवनागरी द्वारा प्रायोजित – फिक्की भाषान्त्र इवेंट 2018 भाषान्त्र, नई दिल्ली
भारतीय भाषाओं से सम्बंधित कार्यक्रम “भाषान्त्र “ का आयोजन 30 जुलाई 2018 को नई दिल्ली में देवनागरी और गूगल के संयुक्त प्रायोजन में फिक्की, भारतीय भाषाओं के लिए प्रौद्योगिकी विकास(टीडीआईएल), इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय, भारत सरकर तथा भारतीय सेलुलर एसोसिएशन (आईसीए) द्वारा आयोजित किया गया था। इस कार्यक्रम में भारतीय भाषा के उपयोग तथा भारतीय भाषा में रियल टाइम अनुवाद के बारे में चर्चा की गयी थी।

इंटरनेट पर भारतीय भाषाएं
विकासशील देश मानव सम्प्रेषण के लिए अंग्रेजी को प्राथमिक भाषा के रूप में इस्तेमाल कर रहे है, ऐसे समय में भारतीय समाज में भाषा की कमी हो सकती है। इस तथ्य को समझते हुए, कार्यक्रम का मुख्य उद्देश्य इंटरनेट पर भारतीय संवैधानिक भाषाओं की डेटा में वृद्धि करना था। देवनागरी स्वयं इंटरनेट डेटा को भारतीयकरण करने पर पूरी तरह केंद्रित है और इस प्रकार हम इस अवधारणा का समर्थन करते हुए इसे और आगे बढ़ाना चाहते हैं।देवनागरी के संस्थापक सदस्यों के अनुसार, भारत में डिजिटल परिवर्तन केवल इंटरनेट डेटा के स्थानीयकरण के साथ ही हो सकता है।

ई-अक्षययान:
आईटी मंत्रालय ने एक कदम आगे बढ़ते हुए ई-अक्षययान, स्कैन किए गए दस्तावेजों पर मुद्रित टेक्स्ट का संपादन कर सकने वाला एक सॉफ्टवेयर की शुरूआत की। यह सॉफ्टवेयर भारतीय भाषा उपयोगकर्ताओं के लिए मुफ्त में बनाया गया है , वे टेक्स्ट को फॉर्मेट कर सकते हैं तथा इसे एक अलग फ़ाइल में भी रख सकते हैं।सरकार द्वारा उठाए गए इस तरह के सॉफ्टवेयर विकास पहलों के साथ, यह उम्मीद की जा सकती है कि आने वाले दिनों में भारतीय स्थानीय उपयोगकर्ता इंटरनेट पर अपनी भाषा में बेहतर जानकारी और अधिक डेटा उपलब्ध प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

कुटुंब:
इस कार्यक्रम का मुख्य आकर्षण ई-अक्षययान की घोषणा और देवनागरी द्वारा नए भारतीय क्षेत्रीय भाषा अनुवादक समुदाय-कुटुंब का शुभारम्भ था। कुटुंब, सभी भारतीय भाषा अनुवादकों का एक समुदाय है जहाँ वह बेहतर अवसर प्राप्त कर सकते हैं तथा ऑनलाइन अनुवाद कार्य को फुल टाइम जॉब की तरह कर सकते हैं। देवनागरी भारतीय द्विभाषियों या अलग-अलग भाषाओं में कुशल व्यक्तियों के लिए आय का स्रोत का निर्माता बनना चाहती है। यह समुदाय विभिन्न तकनीकी पृष्ठभूमि के कुशल भारतीयों के लिए व्यापक नौकरी के अवसर पैदा करेगी।चूंकि कई कंपनियां भारत में अपने उत्पादों को स्थापित करने की कोशिश कर रही हैं, इसलिए उन्हें भारतीय लोगों तक अपने उत्पाद को पहुंचाने के लिए भाषा समर्थन की आवश्यकता होगी, कुटुंब इसमें महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका अदा कर सकता है।समुदाय,अनुवाद करने के लिए अलग-अलग भाषा की आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करेगा। देवनागरी में हमने मानव और कृत्रिम बुद्धि को जोड़ दिया है।

भाषा की शक्ति:
इस तरह के आयोजन के माध्यम से हमारी संवैधानिक भाषाओं को प्रौद्योगिकी के साथ मेलजोल स्थापित करने के लिए बढ़ावा मिलना शुरू हो गया है। चूंकि सरकार ने 22 डोमेन संवैधानिक भाषाओं में सार्वजनिक डोमेन पर वेबसाइट और जानकारी शुरू की है, इसलिए डिजिटल प्लेटफार्मों पर भाषाई समर्थन वाले लोगों की सेवा के लिए समाचार, वित्त आदि जैसे प्रत्येक विभाग के लिए यह आवश्यक हो गया। इस प्रक्रिया में समय लग रहा है, लेकिन आने वाले वर्षों में इंटरनेट का उपयोग करते हुए भारतीय स्थानीय उपयोगकर्ताओं में तेजी से वृद्धि हो रही है, कंटेंट उनकी ज़रूरत को पूरा करने में सक्षम होगी।वे प्रौद्योगिकी को बेहतर तरीके से समझ पाएंगे और उपयोग करने में आसानी होगी। यह कार्यक्रम निदेशकों और भारतीय भाषा से संबंधित भारतीय संगठनों के अध्यक्ष के समर्थन के साथ सफल हुआ था। हमें निकट भविष्य में ऐसी कई आयोजन को देखने की उम्मीद करते हैं।
